This model, released in mid-2022, represents a major redesign of the MacBook Air. It moves away from the classic wedge shape to a flat, minimalist design that aligns with the newer MacBook Pro models. It's powered by Apple's own M2 chip, making it incredibly fast and power-efficient for most everyday tasks.

1. Design & Build (The New Look)

• Body: Full flat, uniform thickness. It's thin, light (2.7 pounds / 1.24 kg), and incredibly portable.

• Material: Made from 100% recycled aluminum, making it durable and environmentally friendly.

• Color: Starlight - A sophisticated, modern color that sits between silver and gold. It's a warm, champagne-like hue that changes slightly depending on the lighting. It's less flashy than gold and more unique than silver.

• Build Quality: Typical Apple excellence. It feels solid, premium, and well-constructed.

2. Display (A Beautiful Screen)

• Size & Type: 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display.

• Brightness: Up to 500 nits of brightness, making it great for use indoors and fairly good outdoors.

• Resolution: Sharp and vibrant with support for over a billion colors.

• Notch: Features a "notch" at the top that houses the 1080p FaceTime HD camera. In practice, the menu bar expands around it, and you quickly stop noticing it.

3. Performance (The Apple M2 Chip)
