What are Protect4Less Device Protection Plans (“Protect4Less Plans”)?
• Protect4Less Plans are protection plans designed for a range of eligible products purchased from AlfaShop.ae
• Protect4Less Plans cover incidents and claims that can be serviced within the UAE;
• Claims are administered by ZH Middle East DMCC, UAE.


What products are covered under Protect4Less Plans?
The range of eligible products for Protect4Less Plans include Consumer Electronics, Home appliances, Mobile Phones, Tablets, Laptops and White Goods. (As per Annexure “A”)
Eligible products must have been purchased by you and owned and used exclusively by you or a member of your family.
Eligible products are covered up to the specified limits based on the Protect4Less Plan you purchased.


Protect4Less Plans
The following Protect4Less Plans are available.
Extended Warranty Protection Plan (“Protect4Less EW Plan”)
Protect4Less EW Plans cover eligible products for mechanical or electrical breakdown only subject to these terms
and conditions and are available for:
• One year; or
• Two years.

Protect4Less EW Plans commence on the expiry of your covered product’s manufacturer warranty and expire at the end
of the additional years purchased.

Extended Warranty Protection Plan plus accidental damage (“Protect4Less EWAD Plan”)
Protect4Less EWAD Plans cover eligible products for mechanical or electrical breakdown and accidental damage
subject to these terms and conditions and are available for:
• One year Protect4Less EW Plan + One year accidental damage; or
• Two years Protect4Less EW Plan + One year accidental damage.

How do I make a claim?
If you believe that your covered product(s) has suffered a mechanical & electrical breakdown or accidental damage you must contact ZH Middle East DMCC

How do I make a complaint?
If you have a complaint about your Protect4Less Plan you must contact ZH Middle East DMCC.
Full details of our complaints procedure can be found under the General conditions section of your Protect4Less Plan.

How do I transfer my Protect4Less Plan?
If you wish to gift your covered product(s) and your Protect4Less Plan to a third party you must contact ZH Middle
East DMCC. You will need to provide evidence that you purchased your covered product.

Terms & conditions
Your Protect4Less Plan terms and conditions together with your purchase invoice constitute your agreement with us.
In return for the full payment of your Protect4Less Plan fee your covered product(s) will be protected within the terms
and conditions of your Protect4Less Plan.
Only eligible products purchased through RUKN DAR AL FALAH ELECTRONICS LLC. Group of Co. LLC can
be covered by a Protect4Less Plan.

Definitions
Some of the wordsin this Protect4Less Plan have specific meanings. These are explained below and have the same meaning
wherever they appear in bold throughout this Protect4Less Plan.
Accidental damage means any externally visible damage to the exterior of your covered product(s) as a result of an
external, unexpected, unforeseeable and unintentional impact that causes your covered product(s) to stop working
including fluid entering the products internal circuitry and visible cracked screens;
Approved retailer means the Protect4Less approved partner from where you purchased your eligible product(s) and
your Protect4Less Plan;
Covered product(s) means an eligible product(s) owned by you or a member of your family that you purchased from
an Approved retailer that is covered by a Protect4Less Plan.

Depreciation means the amount we will deduct from the purchase price of your covered product(s) in the event that
your covered product(s) cannot be repaired or replaced. We will calculate the depreciation as per below table:

Family means any member of your immediate family who live with you permanently at your home including your husband
or wife, your children and/or your parents;
Home means the registered address supplied by you as your permanent place of residence;
Incident means an event which results in the mechanical or electrical breakdown or accidental damage of your
covered product;
Mechanical or electrical breakdown means the failure of your covered product(s) due to any mechanical or electrical
breakdown requiring repair or replacement of your covered product(s) before its normal operation can be resumed;
Protect4Less Plan means this document;
Protect4Less Plan Fee means the amount payable by you to us for your Protect4Less Plan;
Protect4Less Plan period means the period beginning on the start date and expiring at the end of the additional years
purchased;


Purchase invoice means the receipt provided to you when you purchased your eligible product(s) from an RUKN DAR AL FALAH ELECTRONICS LLC. Group of Co. LLC You must retain your purchase invoice during the Protect4Less Plan period and provide thisto us when you make a claim. If you cannot provide your original purchase
invoice we may not be able to handle your claim;
Purchase price meansthe amount you paid for your eligible product(s) excluding any credit charges, delivery charges,
interest charges and delivery costs as shown on your purchase invoice;
Start date means:
• accidental damage - the date you purchased your covered product(s) and your Protect4Less Plan as shown on your purchase invoice;

• EW Plan - the expiry date of your covered product’s manufacturer warranty period but not more than 12 months
from the date you purchased your covered product(s) and your Protect4Less Plan as shown on your purchase
invoice;
We, our, us means ZH Middle East DMCC;
You, your means an individual including the individual’s family who purchased your covered product(s) and your
Protect4Less Plan.
Mechanical or electrical breakdown – What is covered
If your covered product(s) suffers mechanical or electrical breakdown during the Protect4Less Plan period we will
arrange for the repair of your covered product(s) through our repair partner network.
If it is not possible for us to repair or it is uneconomic for us to repair your covered product(s) we will replace your
covered product.
If your covered product(s) is no longer available we will reimburse you for the purchase price less depreciation with a voucher that you will be able to use at alfaShop.ae
Coverage includes but not limited to, internal power supply power meters and switches, LED and LCD displays and pickups,
mechanisms and electrical parts connected to sliders, Ports, faders,Jacks and knobs.
Mechanical or electrical breakdown – What is not covered
Mechanical or electrical breakdown:
• covered by a manufacturer’s recall of your covered product;
• occurring during the manufacturer’s warranty period of your covered product;
• caused by mis-using your covered product, failure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions or overcharging your
covered product(s) e.g. bloated batteries;
• caused by any form of portable externalstorage media including but not limited to memory cards, USB memory
sticks or other digital recording equipment used with your covered product;
• caused by wear and tear, rusting, extreme heat or other gradual deterioration due to normal use of your covered
product;
• caused by your failure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions for your covered product;
• caused by any software or data installed on your covered product(s) such astelephone numbers, ringtones, music,
pictures, applications or videos;
• caused by a virus;
• caused by any unauthorized repair or modification to your covered product(s) undertaken by any unauthorised
third-party repairer;
• accessories, expendables used in conjunction with the covered product, antennas, speakers sold separately, strings
drum sticks, vacuum tubes and cables.
• any depreciation applicable.

Accidental damage - What is covered
If your covered product(s) suffers accidental damage during the Protect4Less Plan period we will arrange for the
repair of your covered product(s) through our repair partner network. You must pay the excess to us before we will
authorise the repair of your covered product.
If it is not possible for us to repair or it is uneconomic for us to repair your covered product(s) we will replace your
covered product. You must pay the excess to us before we will authorise the replacement of your covered product.
If your covered product(s) is no longer available we will reimburse you for the purchase price less depreciation and the
excess with a voucher that you will be able to use at any outlet of the approved retailer.

Accidental damage - What is not covered
Accidental damage:
• caused by a deliberate act or your negligence;
• caused by storing your covered product(s) in locations wherein our opinion there was a high risk of accidental
damage;
• caused by wear, tear and routine discolouring due to age of your covered product; or
• to your covered product(s) whilst it was being used by someone else other than you or a member of your family;
• cosmetic accidental damage such as surface scratches or dents to your covered product(s) which do not affect the
functionality of your covered product; or
• any depreciation or excess applicable.
General exclusions
We will not pay for:
• Any claim arising from an incident occurring outside the Protect4Less Plan period;
• Accidental damage to your covered product(s) if you purchased a Protect4Less EW Plan;
• Routine servicing, inspection, maintenance, dismantling or cleaning of your covered product
• Any claim where you are unable to provide proof of purchase of your covered product.
• Any claim where the serial number of your covered product(s)
• Any incident that resultsin mechanical or electrical breakdown or accidental damage to your covered
product(s) which is not reported to us within 15 days of discovery;
• Any costssuffered by you as a result of not being able to use your covered product(s) or any costs other than the
repair or replacement cost of your covered product.
• Any claim arising from the confiscation, requisition or destruction of your covered product(s) by any government,
public or legal authority;
• Any costs where a mechanical or electrical breakdown cannot be found with your covered product;
• Any mechanical or electrical breakdown or accidental damage caused by war, terrorism, invasion, revolution
or any similar event;
• Software malfunctions or other issuesrelated to or caused by unauthorized software;
• Any accessoriesthat may be included or bundled with your covered product(s) including but not limited to
batteries, headphones, chargers, charger cables, cases, covers and any other accessories; and
• Any covered product(s) which has been used for commercial purposes.
How to report a claim
If you believe that your covered product(s) has suffered a mechanical or electrical breakdown or accidental damage:
1. call us on 052 1240512; or
2. log in to your protect4less.ae account; or
3. or visit any outlet of the Approved Retailer;
to report the problem and register your claim.
You will be asked to provide information regarding the incident in order that we can carry out an initial assessment of your
claim. It may be possible that we will be able to rectify the problem over the telephone or by directing you to an outlet of
the RUKN DAR AL FALAH ELECTRONICS LLC. Group of Co. LLC,
If it appears that your covered product(s) will require a repair or replacement you will be asked to complete a claim form
and give permission to us to service your claim.
We will review your claim form and we may ask you to provide further information by email: claims.uae@protect4less.com.
We will handle all claim notifications within 48 hours.

Portable covered products
If your covered product(s) is portable you will be asked to take your covered product(s) to the nearest outlet of the approved retailer from which you purchased your covered product(s) and your Protect4Less Plan.
If the purchase price of your covered product(s) wasless than AED 500 you will be provided with a replacement if:
1. Your covered product(s) has no physical damage or broken parts; and
2. The RUKN DAR AL FALAH ELECTRONICS LLC. Group of Co. LLC, staff having checked your covered
product(s) confirm that it has suffered a mechanical or electrical breakdown or accidental damage.
If the purchase price of your covered product(s) was more than AED 500 you will asked to leave your covered
product(s) for repair.
1. If it is not possible to repair your covered product(s) we may decide to replace your covered product.
2. If we cannot replace your covered product(s) we will reimburse you for the purchase price less depreciation.
Non-portable covered products
We will arrange for a repairer to visit your home to assess your covered product(s) and if in the opinion of the repairer it
has suffered a mechanical or electrical breakdown or accidental damage we will attempt to repair your covered
product(s) at your home.
If it is not possible to repair your covered product(s) at your home we may take your covered product(s) away to repair
it or we may decide to replace your covered product.
If we cannot replace your covered product(s) we will reimburse you for the purchase price less depreciation.
We will endeavour complete all claims within 14 working daysfrom the date of your initial notification. We will inform you
in advance of any delays which may arise if, for example, spare parts for your covered product(s) are temporarily
unavailable.
If spare parts are not available and we are unable to repair your device within 14 working days we will provide you a standby
device unit and/or we will replace your covered product.
If we replace your covered product(s) or reimburse you for the purchase price less depreciation less any excess your
damaged covered product(s) will belong to us.

General conditions
1. Protect4Less Plan Fee
You must continue to pay the Protect4Less Plan Fee to us unless your Protect4Less Plan is cancelled by you or by us.
If you fail to pay the Protect4Less Plan Fee when due we will terminate your Protect4Less Plan.
2. Reasonable Precautions
You must maintain you covered product(s) in a good state of repair at all times and you must take all reasonable
precautions to guard against its mechanical or electrical breakdown or accidental damage.
3. Cancelling your Protect4Less Plan
You may cancel your Protect4Less Plan within 14 days of the purchase date for any reason, by mailing or delivering to us
a notice of cancellation along with the original Protect4Less Plan certificate.
If you do so you will be given a full refund of the Protect4Less Plan fee you have paid to us.
If you cancel your Protect4Less Plan after more than 14 days from the purchase date we will not refund you any Protect4Less Plan fee you have paid.
We may cancel your Protect4Less Plan at any time by giving you 14 days’ notice in writing to your home address in respect of the remaining period of your Protect4Less Plan.

AlfaShop.ae does not provide any warranty and assumes no responsibility for the performance, quality, suitability, or any defects of the product. All warranty claims, complaints, or service requests should be directed to Protect4Less ZH Middle East DMCC in accordance with their respective warranty terms and conditions. AlfaShop.ae shall bear no liability for any claims arising from or related to the product or associated services.

We may communicate with you regarding your account or transactions, respond to your inquiries and feedback, provide customer support, and share updates about features on our website and applications, including any changes to our policies.
