For shoppers planning to upgrade their homes, New Year Deals 2027 Dubai, UAE can be an excellent opportunity to compare prices on smart TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, laptops, air conditioners, cooking appliances and other technology products.
Dubai's retail sector is continuing to expand its year-round promotional calendar. In July 2026, Dubai announced an expanded 2026–27 promotions roadmap, including a dedicated 10-day Electronics Festival in April 2027. The announcement also highlighted strong demand for electronics and durable goods through online retail.
When Are New Year Deals 2027 in Dubai?
New Year's Day 2027 falls on Friday, January 1, 2027.
New Year promotions are generally retailer-specific, meaning there is no single discount schedule that applies to every store in Dubai.
Some retailers may start their campaigns in December 2026, while others may launch special offers around New Year's Eve or continue promotions into January.
This makes the period from mid-December 2026 through early January 2027 an important time for shoppers to monitor prices.
Dubai's retail calendar has traditionally included major shopping events during the winter season. The 2025–26 Dubai Shopping Festival, for example, ran from December 5, 2025 to January 11, 2026 and featured promotions on electronics and other merchandise.
For 2027, shoppers should check individual retailer announcements for confirmed dates and discounts.
Best New Year Smart TV Deals
A new television is one of the most popular home upgrades during major shopping seasons.
New Year promotions may feature:
- 4K UHD Smart TVs
- OLED TVs
- QLED TVs
- Mini LED TVs
- Large 55-inch TVs
- 65-inch TVs
- 75-inch and larger screens
- Gaming TVs
- High-refresh-rate televisions
When comparing TV deals, don't focus only on the discount percentage.
Check:
- Screen technology
- Resolution
- Refresh rate
- HDR support
- HDMI ports
- Gaming features
- Operating system
- Warranty
- Exact model number
A television advertised at a large discount isn't necessarily the best deal if another retailer offers the same model for less.
Refrigerator New Year Deals in Dubai
The New Year can also be a good time to compare refrigerator offers.
Popular refrigerator categories include:
- French-door refrigerators
- Side-by-side refrigerators
- Multi-door refrigerators
- Bottom-freezer refrigerators
- Frost-free refrigerators
- Large-capacity family refrigerators
- Smart refrigerators
- Refrigerators with water dispensers
Before buying, measure the available kitchen space carefully.
Also check the refrigerator's external dimensions, door clearance and delivery route. A large refrigerator may look perfect online but still be difficult to move through an apartment entrance or elevator.
Important features to compare include cooling technology, storage capacity, energy efficiency, water dispenser options and warranty coverage.
Washing Machine Offers for New Year 2027
Washing machines are another major home-appliance category to watch.
New Year promotions may include:
- Front-load washing machines
- Top-load washing machines
- Washer-dryer combinations
- Inverter washing machines
- Steam-wash models
- Smart washing machines
- Large-capacity washers
For families, larger-capacity machines can reduce the number of washing cycles required. For apartments, compact models may be more practical.
Check installation requirements, dimensions, drum capacity, spin speed, motor technology and warranty before purchasing.
Laptop & Computer New Year Deals
New Year promotions can also be useful for people looking for a new laptop.
Potential categories include:
- Student laptops
- Business laptops
- Gaming laptops
- Creator laptops
- 2-in-1 laptops
- Premium ultrabooks
- Productivity laptops
Students should prioritize battery life, portability and value.
Professionals may prefer better displays, larger SSDs and stronger processors.
Gamers should compare the GPU, CPU, RAM, display refresh rate, cooling system and upgrade options.
Always compare the exact configuration, because two laptops with similar names can have very different processors, RAM, storage and graphics hardware.
Air Conditioner & Home Comfort Offers
Air conditioners remain an important product category in the UAE, even during winter.
New Year shoppers can use the period to compare:
- Split ACs
- Inverter ACs
- Portable ACs
- Window ACs
- Energy-efficient ACs
- Different cooling capacities
Choosing the correct AC capacity is more important than simply selecting the largest model.
Room size, insulation, windows, sunlight and ceiling height can all influence cooling requirements.
Installation should also be considered when calculating the total purchase cost.
Kitchen Appliance New Year Offers
A New Year home upgrade doesn't have to mean buying a single large appliance.
Shoppers can compare festive offers on:
- Cooking ranges
- Ovens
- Microwaves
- Dishwashers
- Hoods
- Air fryers
- Coffee machines
- Blenders
- Food processors
If several kitchen appliances are required, check whether retailers offer bundle promotions.
Sometimes a package that includes delivery or installation can provide better overall value than a slightly lower product price without services.
Why Dubai Is a Great Place for New Year Shopping
Dubai has a highly developed retail and e-commerce market, with shopping promotions taking place throughout the year.
Dubai's 2026 retail calendar included major events such as Dubai Shopping Festival, Dubai Summer Surprises, Dubai Home Festival and other citywide promotional campaigns. The Dubai Home Festival specifically included offers on furniture, décor and appliances.
Dubai's latest 2026–27 promotional roadmap also shows continued investment in electronics retail, with the new Electronics Festival planned for April 2027.
For consumers, this means there can be multiple opportunities to compare prices rather than relying on a single shopping event.
How to Find the Best New Year Deal
1. Compare the exact model
Don't compare products based only on brand name. Check the complete model number.
2. Check the final price
Include delivery, installation and any additional charges.
3. Check warranty
For expensive electronics and appliances, warranty coverage is extremely important.
4. Compare specifications
A cheaper model may have fewer features or a smaller capacity.
5. Check stock
Popular New Year promotions can sell out quickly.
6. Look for bundle offers
Free installation, accessories or delivery can add significant value.
7. Don't trust the percentage alone
A product marked “50% OFF” isn't automatically the cheapest available option. Compare the actual selling price with other retailers.
Online vs In-Store New Year Shopping
Both shopping methods have advantages.
Online shopping makes it easier to compare multiple products, specifications and prices without visiting several stores.
Physical stores allow shoppers to inspect TVs, refrigerator dimensions, washing-machine designs and appliance finishes before purchasing.
For major purchases, a combination of both methods is often useful. Research online first, then visit a showroom if you want to physically inspect the product.
New Year 2027 Shopping Checklist
Before placing an order, check:
- Exact product model
- Product specifications
- Available stock
- Final selling price
- Delivery charges
- Installation charges
- Warranty
- Return/exchange conditions
- UAE compatibility
- Product dimensions
- Customer support
For refrigerators, washing machines, ovens and other large appliances, measurements are particularly important.
What to Buy During New Year Deals 2027?
If you're planning a major home upgrade, prioritize products based on your actual needs.
A family moving into a new apartment might prioritize a refrigerator, washing machine, TV and cooking range.
A student may benefit more from a laptop and monitor.
A home entertainment enthusiast may prioritize an OLED or Mini LED TV and gaming accessories.
Instead of buying something simply because it is discounted, create a shopping list before the sale begins.
